‘Failon Ngayon’ Investigates HIV-Positive Blood Bags

After 124 bags of blood from various blood banks tested positive for HIV, how sure are you that the blood supply in your area is safe for transfusion?

Last November 29, the Department of Health confiscated these bags which were almost used for transfusion.

Dr. Eric Tayag of the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine said that these bags have been disposed of earlier. How then did these contaminated bags reach blood banks?

Ted Failon investigates the process of selling and donating blood, and the transactions in fly-by-night blood banks.

Meanwhile, in an apartment in Quezon City, Failon also looks into a “Magic Spa” which was reported to be the haven of homosexuals for holding their regular pot sessions.

Together with the National Bureau of Investigation, he tries to stop the illegal drug sessions in the said apartment.

Watch “Failon Ngayon” this Saturday, December 4, at its new timeslot, 11:30pm after “Banana Split” on ABS-CBN.
