After four years, Captain Barbell is set to make a television comeback on the first quarter of 2011.
Leading the cast is Richard Gutierrez as Pinoy superhero "Captain Barbell".
Joining Richard this time will be not just two but six leading ladies: Survivor Celebrity castaways Solenn Heusaff and Michelle Madrigal, former PBB housemate Sam Pinto, Are you the Next Big Star Frencheska Farr, Isabel Oli and Bianca King.
Survivor Philippines Celebrity Sole Survivor Akihiro Sato and castaways Jon Hall and Ervic Vijandre will also be part of the series.
Completing the cast are GMA-7's child wonder Jillian Ward who will play Richard's kid sidekick, Paolo Paraiso and Christopher de Leon.
Bela Padilla, who was originally announced as one of the female leads, was moved to another soap, Machete, which will star Aljur Abrenica together with Ryza Cenon.
Captain Barbell will be directed by Dominic Zapata.
