Janet Jackson Number Ones - Up Close and Personal World Tour Manila on February 4

Pop icon Janet Jackson is coming to Manila for a concert this February 2011. After asking fans for suggestions over her website, Jackson announced that she would launch her world tour in Asia. This will be the icon's largest ever world tour celebrating for the first time 35 of her number one hits in 35 global cities.

The Manila concert will take place on Friday, February 4, at the PICC Plenary Hall, making it the first city of Janet's Number Ones—Up Close and Personal World Tour.

This tour will differ from her previous concert schedules in that she will perform music exclusively from her chart-topping album Number Ones, which featured her greatest hits including What Have You Done For Me Lately, Nasty, When I Think of You, Control, Let's Wait Awhile, The Pleasure Principle, Miss You Much, Rhythm Nation, Escapade, Alright, Come Back to Me, Black Cat, Love Will Never Do, The Best Things in Life Are Free, That's the Way Love Goes, If, Again, Because of Love, Any Time Any Place, Scream (with Michael Jackson), Runaway, Got 'Til Its Gone, Together Again, I Get Lonely, Go Deep, What's It Gonna Be, Doesn't Really Matter, All For You, Someone to Call My Lover, All Nite, Call on Me, Feedback and her latest #1 single, Make Me.

There will also be a focus on venues that will allow Janet to be up close and personal in a much more intimate setting. This show is JANET more revealed, more intimate, and more personal than ever before. Don't look for special effects. Just look at Janet!

In each of the 35 cities, Janet will dedicate one of her number one songs to the city and she will also recognize 20 young people whose lives and work have enriched their communities in a major way around the world.

Janet currently stars in Tyler Perry's successful and critically acclaimed motion picture, For Colored Girls.

Janet recently achieved number one iTunes status with her performance of Nothing, written and produced by her in association with Johnta Austin, Bryan-Michael Cox and Jermaine Dupri for the film Why Did I Get Married Too? for which she also starred. The tune is currently an awards contender as best song in a motion picture.

Tickets will be on sale starting today, January 7. For more details, call TicketWorld at 891-9999 or Wilbros Live at 374-9999.
