Heartthrobs in Canada - Concert Dates and Venues

Ultimate Heartthrob Piolo Pascual and Acoustic Heartthrob Sam Milby will stage a 3-night concert in Canada called "Heartthrobs 2009: The Canadian Tour".

Joining them are 2008 Box-Office Jing John Lloyd Cruz, Bea Alonzo, and comedienne Pokwang.

Here are concert dates and venues:

April 9 - Orpheum Theatre in Vancouver

April 11 - Massey Hall in Toronto

April 12 - Winspear Centre in Edmonton

John Lloyd Cruz and Sarah Geronimo will reprise their roles as Miggy and Laida in the office romance movie You Changed My Life. Last year, they thrilled audiences with their love-hate relationship in the first installment titled A Very Special Love.

Directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina, this sequel will have a new character to be played by Rayver Cruz. The relationship of Miggy and Laida will be tested by the arrival of Rayver. You Change My Life (A Very Special Love Part 2)

After the highly successful turn-out in the box office of A Very Special Love last year starring Sarah Geronimo and John Lloyd Cruz, Star Cinema comes out with its sequel titled You Change My Life.

Sarah and John Lloyd are currently shooting the scenes for Part 2 under the direction once again of Cathy Garcia-Molina. Sarah hopes to equal the success of the first one if not surpass it. "Wish ko lang po na hindi man nito ma-surpass ang A Very Special Love, mapantayan man lang nito ang kinita ng una naming movie ni John Lloyd," said Sarah.

The sequel’s target playdate is reportedly on February 25.

Luis Manzano Will Be Gay

Yes, Luis Manzano is about to become a gay and he will be John Lloyd Cruz' lover. But, oooppsss...not for real.

Myx Veejay and Dyosa actor Luis finally accepted the role as John Lloyd Cruz‘ lover in the upcoming Star Cinema movie starring his mom, Governor Vilma Santos.

“Tuloy na tuloy na!” Luis said happily.

“It has a gay theme to it, but beside the gay theme, nandoon na ang mother and son, which is kami ng mommy ko. But there is a very, very different love story, two different stories on top of it,” he added.

The said movie will serve as the directorial comeback of Olivia Lamasan of the award-winning Madrasta and Got 2 Believe.

Luis and John Lloyd will begin shooting in February 2009 where most of the locations will be shot in New York. They have a love scene in the movie which is both first time for both actors.

The John Lloyd Cruz - Bea Alonzo tandem is considered one of the strongest and most successful loveteam not just in the history of Philippine TV but in the movie as well. Many said that it was a big risk on the part of their home studio to pair them with different showbiz personalities.

But the movie "A Very Special Love" which paired John Lloyd to young actress Sarah Geronimo proved a lot of showbiz followers wrong. And due to the movie's highly successful turn-out in the box-office, John Lloyd announces after the press who attended the pizza party sponsored by Greenwich at the Rufino Plaza in Makati City that their follow-up movie is now in the works.

"I think it's safe to say na susundan namin ang A Very Special Love. As of today, it's been confirmed. I'm very happy to announce na magkakaroon ng sequel ang A Very Special Love," told John about his next movie with Sarah.

But this doesn't mean that it will be the end of John Lloyd-Bea loveteam. According to John Lloyd, "Hindi naman mapapalitan 'yon ever, eh. Walang papalit sa naging pagsasama namin ni Bea, the same way na walang pwedeng makapagpahinto sa nagiging pagsasama namin ni Sarah.
"I mean, the more, the merrier...parang, sa mas marami kang babae na puwedeng maiparehas, mas maganda. Sa tingin ko naman, wala namang magdi-disagree doon. Ako, I'm thankful lang na nai-partner ako kay Bea, nai-partner ako kay Sarah, nag-work pareho." added John Lloyd.
