Ang Babaeng Hinugot sa Aking Tadyang - Trailer

The hottest loveteam of Philippine primetime television will be back beginning February 2, 2009.

Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera will play as Homer and Proserfina in the television adaptation of the Carlo J. Caparas suspense/drama classic “Ang Babaeng Hinugot sa Aking Tadyang”.

Originally created for comics on 1974 by the 2008 Sagisag Balagtas awardee and comics genius Caparas, Ang Babaeng Hinugot sa Aking Tadyang was also a movie in 1981 starring Eddie Rodriguez and Vivian Velez.

GMA-7 updates the story with the deft hands of head writer RJ Nuevas, and under the direction of Bb. Joyce Bernal. Also at the helm is suspense genius Topel Lee.

Ang Babaeng Hinugot sa Aking Tadyang is about family, destiny, secrets and deception. And with GMA-7’s version, the series will show that love is indeed the most powerful force on earth.

Dingdong Dantes is the Featured Artist in the Pilot Episode of AXN Asia's 'The Duke'

After the recognition given to him by E! Television as the third sexiest men of the world last year, this time, another international channel is giving Philippine actor Dingdong Dantes a full credit by featuring him on the the pilot episode of the newest show of AXN, The Duke.

The Duke is a glossy men's magazine talk show that will feature men that stand a class above the rest. Men who are successful in their careers, who earned respect of their peers, and are role models. Someone whom they can call a "Duke."

Last December 2008, The Duke's host Eunice Olsen, its cameramen, director, executive producer, staff, and host went all the way from Singapore to have an interview with Dingdong right at his Cubao Quezon City residence.

The Duke will have air its pilot episode on February 9, 8 p.m., Singapore time.

Dingdong Dantes Finally Speaks About the Marian Rivera Pregnancy Issue

Dingdong Dantes finally breaks his silence and told the press about his reaction on Karylle's "controversial smile" which lead to Marian Rivera's "pitiful cry" on the presscon of MMFF movie Desperadas 2.

Dingdong said he had a small talk with Marian after the incident and advice her to ignore and better buried the issue in rest. He also told Marian to be ready and expect a more severe issues coming on their way. So she better not the be sensitive about it.

"Basta ako, I’ll just stick to the truth. Lalabas din naman kung ano ang totoo." said Dingdong

Dingdong also said he sometimes get annoyed especially when his name was drag on the pregnancy issue but also said there is no truth about it at all, "Ganu’n naman talaga. eh. Kaya ako, hinahayaan ko na lang."

But when asked about the true status of his relationship with Marian, Dingdong only said "Ayokong maglagay ng label, eh. Basta, okay kami at kung ano man ito tutuloy, bahala na. Basta, masaya naman kaming dalawa.”

Does Karylle’s Smile Confirms Marian Rivera's Pregnancy?

Karylle’s "controversial smile" on Boy Abunda’s question regarding Marian Rivera’s alleged pregnancy ignited a bomb that is about to explode.

After her grandest welcome party at ASAP, Karylle occupied the hot seat of The Buzz for the segment “Tough 10 Questions.” She breezed through the first 9 questions of Boy Abunda until she heard the last and most difficult one which was:

“I know you have nothing to do with this pero sabi ko nga kasama ka sa kwentong ito, sa iyong pagkakaalam, Karylle, buntis ba si Marian Rivera?”

Karylle did not reply, kept silent and just smilingly stared back at Boy Abunda.

Prior to her transfer to ABS-CBN, Karylle broke up with her boyfriend of three years - Dingdong Dantes. Since Dingdong is paired with Marian Rivera, rumors abounded that the Primetime Queen is the cause of their break-up.

Karylle, however, denied the rumors and said that only her and Dingdong know the real reason of the break-up.

“I think kami lang ni ‘Dong ang makakalam talaga kung bakit kami naghiwalay. I mean we can explain and explain but it will never be fully sufficient. And I think even to this day, we don’t understand why we broke up. So, parang how can you even explain it to other person?” she said.

Dingdong Dantes Ranks 6th on E! Entertainment’s 25 Sexiest Men of the World

Philippines very own Dingdong Dantes is on the 6th spot of E! Entertainment's 25 Sexiest Men of the World for 2008.

Dingdong is the highest-ranking Asian celebrity who made it on the list. Other Asian hunks include John Abraham of India (Top#7), Edison Chen of Hong Kong (Top#15), and Takeshi Kaneshiro of Japan (Top#20). Sadly, No one from Korea made it to the list.

According to E!, another factor that makes Dingdong sexy is his name.

Meanwhile, Half-Pinoy Enrique Iglesias also made it to the list. The Mexican heartthrob and son of Julio Iglesias and Filipina socialite Isabel Preysler ranks no. 25th.

Marian Rivera's Official Statement on the Karylle-Dingdong-Marian Love Triangle

Right after Dingdong Dantes and Karylle admitted in public that they finally put an end to their relationship and that Marian Rivera is not the reason for their break-up, rumors about Marian being the third party and the reason for the break-up still persist.

In an official statement sent by Marian's camp to Showbiz Central last Sunday, November 9, Marian said that she is hurt by the accusation but still insist that she has nothing to do with the break-up.

Here is Marian's official statement:

"Aaminin ko na po na naaapektuhan na ako sa mga usap-usapan na ako ang dahilan ng breakup nina Dingdong at Karylle. Please lang po, huwag naman sanang gano'n.

"Kahit ako o kahit sino siguro sa atin, walang makakaalam, makakaunawa, at higit sa lahat walang dapat manghimasok sa pinagdadaanan nilang dalawa. Silang dalawa lang po ‘yan. At kahit ako nga, walang nalalaman sa totoong namagitan sa kanilang dalawa.

"Ang katatagan po ng kahit anong relasyon ay nakabase sa kung paano kayo makisama sa isa't isa, at kung paano ninyo haharapin ang mga pagsubok. Puwede kayong mag-fail o puwede kayong mag-stick together lalo. Nasa inyo na po ‘yon, di ba?

"Kung tunay at wagas ang pagtititnginan ninyo sa isa't isa, at you can stand the test of time, hindi kayo maghihiwalay. Pagsubok kasi ‘yan. Walang isa na may kasalanan o masisisi pag nagkahiwalay. Alam ko po ‘yan dahil naranasan ko din kasi.

One True Love - Movie Preview

Iza Calzado, together with the most sought-after, successful, and I must say "controversial" loveteam of today - Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera, will star in GMA Films and Regal Entertainment's "One True Love".

Synopsis: Medical intern named Migs (Dingdong Dantes) will have to deal with the conflict between his heart and his mind. After three years of courtship, he is about to get married to Joy (Marian Rivera), a nurse who works in the same hospital as him. However, days before the wedding, his first love Bella (Iza Calzado) returns to the Philippines. The balikbayan is still single and still in love with Migs, whom she broke up with in the past when her family migrated to the United States for their restaurant business.

The women in Migs’s life try to get along with each other but knowing that they are both in love with the same man give rise to feelings of jealousy and envy. When Migs gets into an accident, he develops lacunar amnesia, a type pf amnesia that blocks off time periods from one’s memory. In his case, it blocks off the three years that he was in love with Joy and leaving him with memories of Bella.

The movie also stars Jennica Garcia, Pinky Marquez, Bianca King, Tessie Tomas, Boots Anson Roa, and Chinggoy Alonzo.

One True Love is written by Maryo J. delos Reyes and directed by Mac Alejandre. Coming to theaters nationwide on November 19, 2008.

The Buzz Hosts Had Something to Say About the Dingdong-Karylle-Marian Love Triangle

Amidst the issue that real-life sweethearts Dingdong Dantes and Karylle have broken up because of Marian Rivera, the three have yet to speak to confirm what the real score is. Dingdong and Karylle continue to deny that they have decided to separate ways, with the actor even clarifying that Marian has nothing to do with the issue. News reports say that Marian and constant leading man Dingdong have developed feelings towards each other and the actress' recent breakup with her non-showbiz boyfriend has given way for the two celebrities to pursue their alleged romance.

Meanwhile, on the Points, Opinions and Violent Reactions (POV) segment of The Buzz last Sunday, November 2, the three hosts Boy Abunda, Kris Aquino and Ruffa Gutierrez all shared bits of information in an effort to solve the puzzle. Ruffa went on to say that staff members from her previous film, Desperadas, who are now also the staff of Dingdong and Marian's upcoming movie said that the two are very close on the set. "Sila (staff) ang nagkukuwento na super-sweet daw ang dalawa kahit na walang press," Ruffa revealed.

Kris on the other hand shared that her friend Popoy Caritativo, who is also Marian's manager, told her that the actress and Dingdong aren’t a couple yet. "Hindi sila ni Dingdong pa," Kris quoted Popoy. Popoy also told Kris that Marian is currently happy now, to which Ruffa interjected, "'Yung staff ng Desperadas said, si Marian daw has never been happier in her life." However Kris emphasized there’s nothing wrong with being happy but not at the cost of someone getting hurt. Kris also said that Marian has indeed broken up with her boyfriend because of a commercial deal he did not approve of.

Boy on his part said there shouldn’t be any difficulty for Karylle and Dingdong to say if the relationship has ended and it would definitely simplify their problems. Boy also added another juicy tidbit to the topic by saying he has talked to Marian's ex-boyfriend and he was told that there is no truth in rumors saying that he made Marian chose between him and the project.

The three hosts end the topic by saying that hopefully the issue between the couple and Marian be cleared up soon. Kris even added that she’ll ask Popoy if The Buzz can interview Marian to get her side on the controversy.
