R&B singer Kyla reportedly exchanged I do’s with long-time boyfriend, basketball player Rich Alvarez, in a civil ceremony in Makati last April 8.
“Paparazzi” host Cristy Fermin said that the couple got married at the office of Makati Mayor Junjun Binay on Friday afternoon. A church wedding is set on November, she added.
“Hindi ako ninang pero ang aking impormante ay talaga namang hindi nagsisinungaling at hindi nanununog,” she said.
Asked by co-host Dolly Anne Carvajal if Kyla has the baby bump, Cristy said: “Hindi siya nagdadalang-tao. Talagang nagdesisyon na silang magpakasal.”
Kyla and Rich, her first boyfriend, have been together for almost five years now. The latter, who plays for the Talk ‘N Text Tropang Texters of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA), proposed to the former last January, as the singer herself confirmed in an interview with ABS-CBN in February.
In the same interview, the 30-year-old award-winning performer related her dream wedding.
"Gusto ko traditional, 'yong naglalakad sa church... Medyo may pagka-Filipina ako, minsan ka lang kasing ikasal, 'di ba, kaya maglalakad na ko sa aisle," Kyla said.
