ABS-CBN Regional Network Group Visits Landslide Victims in Tacloban City


ABS-CBN Regional Network Group (RNG) organized a three-day public service mission (March 23 to 25) to help the victims of landslide and flash floods in Tacloban City Leyte. The RNG team repacked and distributed donated relief goods, through the resources of ABS-CBN Foundation’s Sagip Kapamilya.




The landslide, which was triggered by heavy rains and floods, took away the lives of seven members of a family in Tacloban City recently.With their homes carried away by flood waters and swallowed by landslides, families were evacuated to Nula-Tula and Panalog evacuation centers in the city.

With ABS-CBN RNG’s public service offering, 78 families in the two evacuation centers were helped—21 in Nula-Tula and 57 in Panalog evacuation centers. The relief goods composed of canned products, instant noodles, rice and used clothing were donations gathered through the Kapamilya network’s TV and FM radio campaign.




ABS-CBN Regional Network Group, being the Kapamilya network’s provincial arm, is not only responsible for delivering regional and celebrating with the country’s most colorful fiestas. RNG also affirms its social responsibility by adhering to the company’s slogan “In the Service of the Filipino.”
