A few days after GMA Network launches its 2009 Christmas Station ID, the TV plug quickly generated positive reviews from viewers who felt the real message of giving love this Yuletide Season.
The station ID dubbed, Sama-sama tayong Magpasalove, recognizes and celebrates the immense capacity of Filipinos to share love. It pays tribute to the lives of its audience and their hearts that continue to pass the love.
The TV plug, which features ordinary people sharing love in different situations, drew heart-warming comments particularly from some members of print media.
"I like the GMA Christmas Station ID because it has no pretention whatsoever. It didn’t bank on the stars, but on real people who are recovering from the calamities, which made it more effective and inspiring to really promote the essence of Christmas." - Joseph Gonzales,
"The GMA Station ID is a touching and riveting take on the real spirit of Christmas – giving love and sharing gifts to our fellow Pinoys. The exclusion of stars and celebrities leads the viewers to focus more on Christmas' message." - Glen Sibonga, PEP/Moviestar
"It is emotionally uplifting. It makes you realize that even in small gestures, one can give love. And what makes it more heart-tugging is the song. After hearing it and viewing it, you want to shower people with love." - Alwin Ignacio, Daily Tribune
"Simple and touching. The song fits the images as well." - Rohn Romulo, People's Balita
"Personally, gusto ko ang GMA Christmas Station ID. Touching, may puso, may kirot, and yet may mensaheng gustong iparating sa viewers. Punung-puno ng pag-asa. Feel na feel ang tunay na diwa ng Pasko kahit hindi malalaking artista ng Siete ang ginamit, nagmarka naman. Good idea and concept. Christmas is about love-sharing, forgiveness and being together with our loved ones." - Linda Rapadas, Bulgar
"I think it’s a good decision to focus on the ordinary people instead of celebrities, kasi sa pagtulong sa mga biktima ng bagyo, hindi kailangan ng celebrity-status." - Jeffrey Valisno, Business World
The Christmas station ID was directed by GMA AVP for Post Production Operations Division Paul Ticzon. Multi-awarded cinematographer and GMA VP for Post Production Ding Achacoso was the director of photography, Ingrid Navarro was the producer, Vince Gealogo was the assistant director and Rodell Cruz was the Production Designer. The post production pool was composed of Allyn de Ocampo, Javier Delgado, and John Paul Arrojado.
The project was conceptualized by the creative team composed of GMA VP for Program Support Regie Bautista, Associate Creative Director Armie Herrera, Writer Sarah Manila, Writer-lyricist Candy de los Reyes, Artists Leo Alvarado and Manuel Edralin, Senior Project Manager Hasmin Marable, and Project Manager Minette Lopez. The music was by Cecille Borja and sung by the La Diva member Aicelle Santos.
