Philippine's Master Rapper-TV host Francis Magalona has succumbed to leukemia at the Medical City in Mandaluyong City on Friday, March 6. He was 44.
Francis, or better known as FrancisM, was credited as being the first Filipino rapper in the Philippines to successfully crossover to the mainstream. He is also popularly known as the "King of Pinoy Rap". One of his biggest hits is the nationalistic rap-song "Mga Kababayan" from his rap album "Yo!" in 1990.
Francis Magalona is the son of late Philippine movie screen legends Pancho Magalona and Tita Duran. He was married to Pia Arroyo, they have eight children: Unna, Nicolo, Francis Jr., Elmo, Arkin, Clara, and actresses Maxene and Saab.
